Accessibility Statement and Preferences
Lideum Inc. is committed to making lideum.com usable by as many people as possible, including people using assistive technology.
Effective September 4, 2026
1. Our commitment
We build storefronts for a living, and accessibility conformance is part of what we deliver on them. It would be poor practice to hold a client's site to a standard this one does not meet, so this site is built and tested to the same standard.
2. Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities, at three levels: A, AA and AAA.
lideum.com substantially conforms with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Substantially conforming means that most of the site conforms, and that the exceptions we are aware of are listed in section 7. We say substantially rather than fully because a full conformance claim requires a formal third party audit of every page and every state, which has not been carried out.
3. Display settings
This site follows your system preferences for reduced motion and contrast, and it works with browser zoom and text sizing. You can also set these directly, on this device, whether or not your system expresses them.
The controls sit beside this section, or directly below it on a narrow screen. Changes apply immediately and are kept on this device only.
4. Measures we take
- Accessibility is a build requirement rather than a review step, and it is included in the definition of done.
- Color pairs in the palette are computed against WCAG contrast thresholds, and pairs that do not pass at a given size are documented as such and not used that way.
- Photographs are duotoned to a fixed tonal range, which fixes the brightest possible pixel and makes text contrast over any image predictable in advance.
- Every animation on the site is stopped by a reduced motion preference and replaced with a settled frame rather than removed.
- The site is built without a client side framework, so pages work as HTML and interactive behavior is added on top rather than depended upon.
5. Technical specifications
Accessibility of this site relies on HTML, CSS, WAI-ARIA, SVG, JavaScript and the Canvas element. It is tested against current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, with the operating system screen reader on each platform.
The contact form submits and succeeds without JavaScript. The diagrams and the map are decorative, marked as such to assistive technology, and carry no information that is not also stated in text nearby.
6. How this was assessed
Self assessment, carried out by Lideum. It included a static audit of every built page for alternative text, form labeling, heading order, landmark structure, link purpose, page titles, language and duplicate identifiers, and measurement of computed contrast ratios for the text and interface pairs the palette uses.
We have not commissioned an independent audit of this site. When we do, this statement will say so and will state the outcome.
7. Known limitations
We are aware of the following, and would rather list them than imply they do not exist.
- The globe on the Global page. It can be rotated by dragging. A drag alternative is provided, since selecting any location moves the globe to it using a pointer or the keyboard, but the drag interaction itself is not operable by keyboard.
- Embedded scheduling. The booking calendar on the contact page is provided by Calendly and its accessibility is outside our control. Booking is also possible by telephone and by email, and those routes are given alongside it.
- Canvas diagrams. The animated figures are drawn to a canvas and are not exposed to assistive technology. They are decorative and hidden from it deliberately; nothing they show is unavailable in the surrounding text.
- Third party content. Where a tag is enabled through your privacy choices, its behavior is determined by that provider rather than by us.
8. Feedback
If you meet a barrier on this site, tell us and we will fix it. Email hello@lideum.com or call 1-833-643-7737. Describe the page and what happened, and we will reply and confirm what we have changed.
