Built from a blank canvas
Rose Code came to launch with a brand, a founder's clinical standing and no storefront. There was nothing to migrate and nothing to preserve, which sounds like the easy version and is actually the exacting one: every structural decision is made once, at the start, with nothing already in place to correct it later.
A clean Liquid theme with Metaobjects driving content, so merchandising changes ship without a developer in the loop. The people who know the range can change how it is presented on the day they decide to.
For a brand launching rather than replatforming, the structure is the only thing that exists on day one. Everything after it is built on that decision, so it was made deliberately rather than inherited.

Enamel MatrixRemineralizing Each product is a step rather than a purchase on its own. The range was built to be sold that way, so the storefront was built to sell it that way.
Recurring revenue from week one
Subscription and bundling logic was built into the core of the theme rather than added afterwards through apps. A routine is a repeat purchase by nature, and a brand that intends to sell one should not be discovering that six months after launch.
The range is assembled into systems as well as sold individually, so a customer can arrive at a single stylus or at a complete regimen and both are first-class routes through the store.
Building that into the theme rather than layering it on is what keeps the bundle and the subscription looking like the brand instead of looking like an app. On a launch where the storefront is the whole brand experience, that difference is the brand.

A measured path to checkout
A deliberate route from landing to checkout, instrumented end to end so every step can be measured and tuned rather than argued about.
A launch has no history to learn from, so the instrumentation is what turns the first weeks of traffic into something the team can act on. The alternative is waiting a quarter for an opinion.
Third-party warehousing and shipping were integrated behind it, so fulfillment was in place on the day the store opened rather than assembled once orders started arriving. Standing fulfillment up mid-launch means building the back half of the operation at the one moment every other part of it needs attention.
Speed as part of the luxury
Premium stores tend to trade load time for art direction. This one was optimized at every layer instead: a visually rich build that still returns quickly.
For a customer arriving from a practice known for precision, a slow page is the first thing that contradicts the brand. The product promises care and exactness, and the store is the first sample of it anyone gets.
The engagement continued into a retainer and a second project, which is the outcome a launch is really aiming at. The store that opens is a starting position rather than a finished thing.
A launch that was selling subscriptions in its first week.
Content, merchandising and recurring revenue all run from the theme the store launched on. The engagement continued into a retainer and a second project.
